A black holes suddenly opening up over the Earth would be an astounding sight to see as the whole of the sky is lit up. But what would such a thing look like? This is something that one user of YouTube has always wondered, and they have uploaded a video clip (watch below) which has been based on scientific theories of just how such a black hole might look like Earth in the center of the Milky Way.
TO AFFECT EARTH BLACK HOLES WOULD HAVE TO HAVE ORBIT CLOSE TO SOLAR SYSTEM
The video shows what the appearance of a black holes was suddenly opening up over a village in Russia might just look like and it lasts for just 30 seconds. Of course, there is not much chance that a black hole would be wandering around the universe for things to just suck up inside it, so there is not too much to worry about. Even if there was a black hole the orbit of that black hole would have to be very close to the solar system if it was to have any effect on the Earth.
WHAT WOULD A BLACK HOLE LOOK LIKE IF IT OPENED UP OVER EARTH?
For argument’s sake let’s assume that a black hole would suddenly open up close to Earth then the people on Earth would experience a big burst of gamma ray along with being hit with massive levels of radiation that would prove deadly.
BLACK HOLES NOTORIOUSLY HARD TO STUDY AS THEY ARE INVISIBLE
Black holes are very hard to learn about and study because no light can escape from them and so they are invisible. Astronomers and scientists watch the behavior of things that are close to the black hole to see what effect the black hole is having on them.
NASA has said that some black holes occur when a star collapses on itself. The Sun is too small for it to turn into a black hole, but when it eventually burns out, it will turn into a red giant star. Other black holes have the names of super-massive black holes, and it is thought that they are the center of a galaxy that is even bigger in the universe and scientists believe that they may have been created when the universe was created. Sagittarius A is at the center of the Milky Way, and it has a mass that is equal to four million Suns. However, it would be able to fit into a ball that is about the same size as the sun.
